Manufacturing Process
After the Farm Stage when the leaves are ready to be sold in the MandiYard, The second stage ie" Factory Stage" begins. This stage starts with the selection of Leaves. Different crop produce are of different quality, some have great quality and some are average or below average. Its not that all Natural Henna will get you same quality. 2 hennas both 100% Natural may give very different results. Prices also vary according to the quality of leaves. The Manufacturer chooses the best for requirement out of thousands of lots in the yard. This is THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP and not easy at all. Their are minute ways how two leaves can be very different and it needs experience and observarion before buying as it decides the overall quality of the henna powder like stain, color, texture, stringiness etc.
Later, The leaves are brought to Factory premise and the first step in the Factory is done with "Separator". It does Cleaning of small stems and seeds. Now we have clean leaves which are then crushed with Crusher Machine before gettinf finely grinded in the next step in a heavy Machinery called "Pulverizer".
This machine grinds extremely finely and then with the help of air pressure it moves powdered henna upwards and this stage also separates dusty light henna with that of heavy and not so fine henna, some sand particles which get stuck on the leaves are also separated here. This fine powder is then passed through a 'Scanner machine' which further filters the henna. Now this henna is fine and high quality for Hair or regular market usage as it doesnot have any twigs.
Most manufacturer donot pass their henna with scanner and some hair henna brands buy the separated twigs which are rejected in separator and later in scanner at very price and use them to reduce the cost, The stain quality reduces but they manage by adding artificial dyes.
After the scanning, this henna is of high quality and is ready to be sold in the market. For Body Art Quality, it further needs to be sifted Manually with 60 mesh fine cloth. This step is very important for BAQ henna and it takes much time and effort but is worth it. It makes sure that your cone doesnot block and it can make very fine designs.
